Alexandrea “Alex” Davenport

Research Associate - Qualitative Analyst

Alexandrea Davenport is the Coordinator for Academic Partnerships and Student Engagement in Housing and Residential Communities at The University of Alabama. She earned a M.A. in American Studies from The University of Alabama and a B.S. in Sports Management from The University of Texas, Austin.
 
Prior to her work with Rankin & Associates Consulting, Alexandrea served as Graduate Student Coordinator for The University of Alabama’s Safe Zone Resource Center. In this position she enhanced program assessment measures and advocated for the creation and expansion of trans-inclusive policies throughout campus. For this work, in 2013 she earned the Division of Student Affairs Outstanding Graduate Student Award and was a recipient of the University’s Sam S. May Commitment to Service Award.
 
In addition, she has worked as an Academic Advisor for the College of Engineering at The University of Alabama and was awarded the University’s 2015 Outstanding Commitment to Academic Advising Award.
 
Alexandrea’s professional interests encompass numerous aspects of campus life. She has served a student group advisor to the University of Alabama’s LGBTQA+ student organization, is currently a member of the Safe Zone Resource Center Advisory Board, and is Head Coach of the UA Women’s Rugby team.
