Monica Patterson

In addition to her work with Rankin & Associates, Consulting, Monica Patterson is an academic adviser for the College of Engineering & Science at Clemson University. She earned a B.A. in government and law from Lafayette College and a Master of Education in college student affairs from The Pennsylvania State University.
Monica co-developed the LGBTQArchitect, a grant-funded, web-based tool for creating and enhancing LGBTQA student services and co-presented the resource at a national conference. She also served as a program coordinator in Penn State’s LGBTA Student Resource Center and earned Penn State’s Ally Recognition Award from the Presidential Commission on LGBT Equity for her efforts.
Monica’s professional experiences and interests span many student affairs functional areas. She competed as a Division I athlete and served on Penn State’s NCAA Recertification, and she is also an advisory board chairperson for the Kappa Kappa Gamma women’s fraternity at Clemson. Monica brings a passion for diversity education and initiatives to all of her work.
